To lead and develop a team of salespeople within the designated area, to achieve the agreed sales targets. You will work closely with the National Sales Manager and other Regional Sales Managers to develop plans and budgets. Through mentoring and support, you will develop the team of people within your area to achieve their potential, together with helping them realise both their personal and company goals.
To manage and develop your allocated customer list whilst also growing sales to non-customers. In order to achieve this, you will promote, introduce and facilitate the use of Semex's World renowned Solutions package and customer focused genetics.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain a good relationship with all key stakeholders including customers, suppliers and the wider community.
Develop and grow the sales team in order to achieve both the company and the team's personal objectives.
Regularly coach by observing, communicating and providing guidance and feedback to team members on their performance.
Together with the Semex Priority Specialists, manage the Key Account programme within your area, actively taking the lead in ensuring all necessary steps are taken to meet both customer and company expectation.
Work as part of the UK Sales Manager team to ensure best practice is achieved and new ideas are shared and developed where appropriate.
Maintain and develop your allocated sales area, delivering on customer needs and following up on potential sales leads.
Maintain an accurate database of customer information whilst adhering to GDPR rules.
Organise and visit farms included in your customer allocation on a regular basis together with searching for new business opportunities with non customers.
Actively demonstrate financial benefits and facilitate the use of Semex's Solutions and service package.
Represent Semex at Shows, Fairs and other events as deemed necessary.
Work as part of a team, contributing positively to team activities, meetings and joint initiatives.
Any other duties that may be required by the company from time to time in order to facilitate the smooth running of the business.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
Strong knowledge of the Agricultural Industry (either through direct experience or relevant Education).
Experience of management of either people, programmes or projects.
Key understanding of the Bovine Breeding Industry and Artificial Insemination technology.
Relevant sales experience.
Enthusiastic and approachable.
Basic computer literacy (as a minimum in Email & Microsoft Excel).
