24/7 heat detection – features and benefits
Stand alone technology
Not linked to any parlour system.
Inexpensive compared to integrated systems.
Affordable for any management system.
Proven Technology
Developed in Israel by SCR one of the world leaders in cutting-edge electronic technology for dairy operations.
The system was developed over a decade ago with tens of thousands of successful operating tags.
24/7 Monitoring
Consistent heat detection round the clock for greater accuracy.
Reduces labour costs.
Identifies non-cycling cows more quickly than a manual system.
Reduces Semen Cost
Eliminates guesswork especially associated with chalking programmes.
Cows are bred when they should be.
Identifies the right day to breed so that the breeder eliminates unnecessary inseminations.
Identifies Inactive cows
Assists with early detection of non-cycling cows with possible sub-clinical disease.
Economical
Significantly less expensive.
Accurate, reliable heat detection
24/7 freeing staff for other duties.
Reliable
The communication technique between the tag and the ID unit (antenna) uses Infra Red communication which is similar to home remote control.
This means that it allows increased distance between the tag and the ID unit, and prevents the system incorrectly identifying animals.
High Accuracy
The system quantifies the entire cow’s movements such as walking, running, lying, standing up, and head movements which increases its accuracy over pedometer systems that only record steps taken.
User Friendly
Simple to use for easy staff training.
Less stress to cows leading to easier herd management.
The neck tags are simple to get on and off, and control panel is easy to use.
